Brad Shirley

Founder and Principal

Brad brings 20+ years of experience leading MedTech teams and driving innovation that elevates patient care and helps businesses succeed. He has a passion for leading teams through the product development process and is an expert at communicating and collaborating with all levels of the organization, including the C-Suite. Brad’s work has led to the successful launch and clinical evaluation of more than a dozen technologies in the vascular, orthopedic, and advanced therapies markets.

At an organizational level, he has demonstrated an ability to translate complex vision into actionable strategies that motivate teams and propel business growth. He has navigated within large global companies, helped build and lead an incubator/accelerator, and managed the acquisition and turnaround of a startup.

Brad holds a MS in Bioengineering from Clemson University, and a BS in Biological Engineering from Mississippi State University. He started his career at Cook Medical as an R&D Engineer and Product Manager where he initiated and led the drug-eluting balloon program. He then transitioned to Cook Regentec, providing business leadership focused on regenerative medicine and advanced therapeutics. Prior to founding DCMS Solutions, Brad was Vice President of R&D and Business Operations for Maruho Medical, an emerging sports medicine startup innovating in soft tissue management and fixation.

Brad founded DCMS Solutions to help founders, innovators and business leaders successfully navigate the often frustrating and blurry MedTech development process, from concept to commercialization.
